Philologica Canariensia (eISSN: 2386-8635) is an open-access scholarly journal published once a year by the Faculty of Philology, University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain. The journal began in 1994 and publishes research articles, notes, and book reviews in Spanish and English. The scope includes the following areas: language (Spanish, English, French, Latin, and Classical Greek); linguistics; literary criticism of a wide variety of authors in Spanish, English, and French; and Classical Greek and Latin authors. All articles undergo double-blind peer review by national and international experts, which ensures the quality of the research published in the journal. Philologica Canariensia holds the Seal of Editorial and Scientific Excellence awarded by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology. The journal is indexed and abstracted in, among other databases: Scopus, ESCI - Emerging Sources Citation Index (Web of Science), ERIH PLUS, DOAJ, EBSCO, MLA, Latindex, MIAR (ICDS: 9.9), and REDIB.
